Best Ecuador Videos

Nov 19, 2020 by rhyslud Leave a Comment

I’ve been following Amelia and JP since shortly after they started their channel. At the time, their channel was called “Vegans Abroad” and they were living in Cuenca Ecuador, now they are traveling the world.

Their channel has hundreds of detailed videos about living in Ecuador (Especially Cuenca and the central coast of Ecuador). They also have a community where you can get even more information.

I had booked a Cuenca half-day tour with them back in the Fall of 2019, but there was a period of civil unrest (called a Paro) and roads from the airport were blocked, so we canceled our trip. As it turned out, it was all over by the time we would have been there, and the cities we had planned to visit, Cuenca and Loja, were pretty “tranquilo” throughout the protests. They were more than happy to refund my $75 because by that time their channel had exploded in popularity.

If you are considering living in Ecuador, their channel is still a must-watch. But these days there are many others. Check out Don Shader (The Grumpy Old Gringo). Especially if you want to live on the coast of Ecuador.

Our Night at Navidalia

Their goal, as the creators put it, is “to transport visitors into a festive dreamscape.” And honestly, that’s exactly the kind of dreamscape I’ve always wanted to wander through. […]

Becoming Washingtonians

Our Journey to Tacoma (and the Many Surprises Along the Way) We meant to leave California for Tacoma, Washington first thing on the morning of November 22nd. Truly, we did. But we still had a few last-minute tasks at the Richmond house before we could call the landlord for the final walkthrough. So much for […]

The Retirement Opportunity

For many of us, our lives are framed by the constraints of our career and family.  Where we live is often based on opportunity, commute time, and school district.  Recreation is planned around school, stingy vacation allowances, and work priorities.  And of course, our jobs dictate how we spend the majority of our waking hours. Retirement is an opportunity to reframe how and where we live our lives.

Here we will explore possibilities for an abundant retirement on any budget
